REAL Fathers Program National Scale Up
As we scale up the REAL fathers’ program in Uganda, several of our implementing partners are working toward a common objective: strengthening the role of fathers in building loving, caring family environments for all family members. We lead the implementation aspect in collaboration with ten non-governmental organizations, with the University of California San Diego (UCSD) leading the measurement of program outcomes/ results.
Being our public sector partner, the Ministry of Gender, Labour and Social Development has demonstrated commitment to supporting learning, evidence-informed action and productive partnerships that engage men to end violence, nurture children and participate effectively in socio-economic activities

Learn MoreLearning Initiative on Preventing Violence Against Children
Impact and Innovations Development Centre (IIDC), with support from the Wellspring Philanthropic Fund (WPF), launched the Learning Initiative on Preventing Violence Against Children (VAC) in East Africa. The initiative has brought together key partner organizations from Uganda, Kenya, and Tanzania to enhance their collective capacity in preventing VAC through evidence-based programming and collaborative learning. The learning and improvement process over the years has been facilitated by IIDC through the provision of technical support, capacity-building resources, and platforms for mutual learning and collaboration across partners. IIDC provides technical support to the implementing partners in designing, implementing, and scaling context-appropriate interventions and fostering an evidence-driven and sustainable approach to preventing violence against children.
