Background

Even with the best child safeguarding policies in organisations, several social, economic and political obstacles continue to stand in the way of effective management of reported child safeguarding incidents. There are, however, some innovative practices that some of our partners have documented which if shared can help other organisations improve their child safeguarding case management practices.

In the upcoming learning meeting, IIDC and Luminos Fund will share about what it takes for an organization to build an active child safeguarding case management system in a low resource setting.

After participating in this learning meeting, participants will better be able to:

• Understand what constitutes an effective child safeguarding case management system in a low resource setting.
• Learn about the resources, tools and processes required to build an effective child safeguarding case management system.
• Understand the challenges an organization faces in setting up and implementing an effective case management system in a low resource setting and how these can be solved.

• What are the main features of an effective child safeguarding case management system in a low resource setting?
• How can an organization build an effective child safeguarding case management system in a low resource setting?
• What are some of the challenges an organization can face in building and implementing an effective child safeguarding case management system in a low resource setting and how can these be addressed?
