Bosco Uganda, an NGO , has been implementing a project called Enhance Human Rights and Development through ICT in Acholi Region, Uganda” since January 2016. This project was designed on the basis that Acholi region remains underdeveloped due to conflict amongst other factors. The project , slated to end on December 31, 2018, focused on increasing access to fast digital communications. 30% of the project funding HORIZONT3000 member organization, namely DKA Austria while 70% funding comes from Austrian Development Cooperation/Agency implemented through HORIZONT3000. The project design was informed by evaluation findings of a previous project and a baseline study which was conducted in March 2016. BOSCO Uganda sought to work with already existing youth groups of men, women and youth. The project generally targeted rural people living in four districts of Acholi sub-region namely: Gulu, Nwoya, Amuru, and Agago.
