Evaluations

IIDC supports implementers to critically analyze what worked and what did not work in order to learn from it. The technical team of IIDC individually has vast experience in conducting project evaluations and at IIDC we have so far conducted the following evaluations.

  • October 2018: End of program evaluation for the programme on the promotion of integral development in Busoga through cultural awareness-raising, dialogue, education and evangelization, implemented by Cultural Research Centre, Jinja, commissioned by DKA Austria
  • March 2018: Evaluation of the project “Enhance human rights and development through ICT in Acholi region, Uganda”, implemented by BOSCO Uganda, commissioned by HORIZONT3000
  • March 2018: Evaluation of the project “Strengthening institutional and community capacity to access justice and protect human rights in Rwenzori region, Uganda”, implemented by HURINET Uganda, commissioned by HORIZONT3000​
  • December 2017: End of project evaluation of Grow Smart using Community Led Action for Children Approach, Kamuli, commissioned by Plan International Uganda
  • October 2016: End of project evaluation of the Improved Access and Completion of Quality Basic Primary Education in Lira, commissioned by Plan International Uganda

Baselines

Measuring the situation before project start allows for evidence-based project design and progress monitoring. The technical team of IIDC has vast experience in conducting project baselines and  we have conducted the following surveys:

  • March 2019: Baseline survey on the level of government and practitioners’ knowledge about INSPIRE, commissioned by Children Rights and Violence Prevention Fund
  • June 2017: Baseline survey for Tackling Exclusion Early using Community Led Action for Children Approach, Kamuli, commissioned by Plan International Uganda​
